Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, affirmed that the next elections for the Football Association will be for one year, with further elections to be held in the following year, according to the Egyptian Sports Law.
The Minister of Sports added in statements to the “Ontime Stadium” program that he did not put on the table the idea of extending the period of the five-year committee to administer the mountain for another year, and elections are expected in the month of July, and will continue until the end of the Olympic Games in the next year 2021.
Ashraf Sobhy continued his speech, stressing that this is what is stipulated in the Egyptian Sports Law, but the opinion of the International Football Association “FIFA” will be awaited on this file.
And on the proposal to open clubs for training in the coming period, the Minister of Sports said that the matter is being studied with the government, and that precautionary measures are taken to gradually return, but that the matter will be seriously studied before making any decision.
