A 9-year-old girl became the youngest victim of the coronavirus (Covid-19) in Florida, health authorities in the state reported.
The minor’s death occurred in Putnam County, North Florida. She is the youngest victim since an 11-year-old boy died in Miami on June 30.
At least three other children have died from the virus in Florida.
The death is in addition to the more than 5,300 that the state has reported since the pandemic began. Meanwhile, the total number of cases amounts to 379,619.
Florida reported 139 deaths Wednesday, the number where the 9-year-old was found.
Authorities have not disclosed whether the minor had pre-existing conditions. Yes, it was found that she had no travel history.
