After the scandal in KPSS, ÖSYM decided to cancel the session held on 31 July. On the social media, the song “ÖSYM eat my eye” by the group named “Deli” was shared against ÖSYM, which was reacting to the alleged leaking of questions.

The song, released in 2006, went viral among the youth of the period and was highly appreciated.

Mustafa Kırgül from the Deli Group, who testified for the criminal complaint, said, “The police found us. We talked and dealt with it. If they are looking, we will testify again.” Mustafa Kırgül stated that they sang the song under the name ÖSYM and that it did not contain swearing, and the other version with the words “ÖSYM gye” had stated that they sang the song for fun in a chat environment at an earlier date.

The President of the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), who made a criminal complaint about the song, Prof. Dr. Ünal Yarımağan said “I listen, listen and laugh” about the songs of the group called “Deli”, which consists of 5 young people, in which they expressed their reaction to the university entrance exam.

Deli Group, which was in court due to the song criticizing ÖSYM, became news in the British press. In 2006, the British newspaper The Guardian drew attention to the fact that members of the Deli Group could be sentenced to up to 18 months in prison for their songs criticizing the ÖSYM.

The members of the deli group were freed from punishment for the crime of “insulting public officials working as a board due to their duties”.
