Young people are invited to apply “Digital skills bootcamp” – Family – Apollo.lv – Woman

The training is organized by the social enterprise and the youth platform All Opportunities, which brings together professional and personal development opportunities for young people in one place with the aim of helping everyone to develop their potential. The training will take place online and will provide young people with the digital skills they need today, as well as learn more about job opportunities and future trends in digitalisation.

“Young people need more opportunities for self-growth – especially this year, when the labor market is particularly challenging. Therefore, we hope to be able to give as many young people from all over Latvia as possible the opportunity to participate in training and gain practical experience in the digital environment,” comments Gustavs Mārtiņš Upmanis.

In the training, young people from all over Latvia will take part in interactive classes led by various industry professionals both from Latvia and abroad. Participants will be invited to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, performing various tasks in smaller groups and presenting the results to company representatives from “Tet”, “Zalaris” and “TVNET”, who will also share their experiences with young people. After evaluating the applications of the participants, each of the companies will also select the 20 most motivated young people, who will be supported by providing a one-time scholarship to cover the participation fee.

“Automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, working with big data – Tet has been working in these areas for several years. But this year, digitalisation and the opportunities it offers have received much more attention both among companies and society.

As the industry continues to develop, the level of knowledge of existing and future specialists must also grow, often even acquiring new professions and the necessary skills through self-study, because they are not yet taught in schools or courses.

Therefore, we are glad that we can share our experience and knowledge, helping young people to develop their potential and become more competitive in the future labor market, “says Viktor Toropov, Director of Corporate Development at Tet, a technology and entertainment company.

Guna Gorbunova, a representative of Zalaris, also says: “Zalaris is a company where many people have started their first careers and professional careers, so we are always ready to support young people and invest in their growth. Combining the company’s experience with young people’s modern vision, we want to build mutually productive cooperation. “
