A 28-year-old man was arrested on Friday for being suspected of killing his father with a bladed weapon in September 2019 in Veade, Celorico de Basto, Braga district, the Judiciary Police announced today.
In a statement released today, the Judiciary Police (PJ) reveals that the homicide victim was 54 years old and suffered “several blows from the stab in the neck”.
According to the authorities, the alleged perpetrator of the crime of qualified homicide acted “in a context of great violence, motivated by feelings of anger and revenge”, absent after the crime for a European country, which is now being detected in Portugal.
“In view of the strong evidence gathered by the investigation” the man has now been arrested, it can be read in the statement.
The accused will be present to the judicial authorities for questioning and enforcement of enforcement measures.
