Recently, after a year and a half, the Große Bürgergilde zu Heiligenhafen was finally able to hold a general meeting again in the event pavilion on the inland lake – on the 768th anniversary.

  • Jan Rohde and Karl Schmütsch are now honorary board members.
  • Two new members added.
  • Young blood for board work.

Heiligenhafen – Christian Heyer and Ole Will could be welcomed to the guild as new members. After reading out the guild oath and the sip from the welcome cup, the new guild brothers successfully passed their working test with chief worker Jörg Lüning. Reading out the list of members led to the result that 69 guild brothers were present.

The first elder Horst Sachau was able to personally honor the following: Peter Richert has been a member for 50 years, Werner Struck for 40 years, and honorary membership was given to Jürgen Grage and Armin Horn. Furthermore, Manuela Dahnke-Lohde was honored for ten years of membership in the guild band. All non-present guild brothers to be honored will receive their certificates from the guild messenger Rolf Rocksien at home in the next few days.

No applications were submitted by the guild brothers, so the first elderly man applied for the deputy mayor Gottfried Grönwald to address the assembly with a greeting. Of course he was happy to do this and conveyed the greetings from the city and the city council and traditionally donated a keg of beer for the next Gildefest.

In the following election to the Executive Board, some posts had to be filled. Since Jan Rohde (2nd senior) and Karl Schmütsch (1st flag bearer) did not stand for re-election, they were appointed honorary board members at the suggestion of the board and by confirmation of the meeting. The guild brothers paid a standing ovation to Jan Rohde and Karl Schmütsch for their exemplary guild service over the years. Jan-Hendrik Lohde was elected as the new 2nd senior man. The new 1st standard bearer is Björn Engler.

The 1st Fahnenjunker Bernd Thede has meanwhile been re-elected. Since Jan-Hendrik Lohde was already a member of the board as a cashier, this post also had to be filled. Here the assembly elected Eric Eybächer. All ballots were extremely harmonious, with clear results in each case. In addition, the meeting was pleased that the new board members in particular could be won from among the younger guild brothers. In addition to the board elections, other posts in the guild were filled. Jens Heutmann has been elected cash auditor for two years. Manni Hopp resigned from the office of the 4th flag bearer, but he was directly elected by the assembly to accompany the 4th flag. The new 4th standard bearer is the guild brother Arne Röschmann.

Traditional kale meal

Under the item miscellaneous, the 1st elder announced that a rifle had been donated to the guild. This is now to be used by the young guild brothers who are not yet members of a shooting community. Finally, the first elder gave an outlook on the upcoming appointments, in the hope that these can take place as planned. The next guild date is the kale dinner on November 20th in the “Käppen Plambeck”. The meeting was closed with the Schleswig-Holstein song. Afterwards, the Gild Brothers ended the evening in their Gill-Huus in Erlenweg.
