The competition jury ” Internal horizons: sharing and conviviality in times of confinement »Chose the 2 big winners. The first prize is awarded to Youness Sefaoui, the second prize to Youssef Oubahou and a special mention was awarded to Lofti Souidi.
The Jury composed of Hassan Hajjaj, artist photographer, Deborah Benzaquen, artist photographer, Yoriyas, artist photographer, Mehdi Qotbi, painter and president of the National Museums Foundation, Kristi Jones, exhibition curator and Patricia Defever, founder and director general de Langages du Sud met on June 17 to choose the two winners from the 100 shortlisted photographs. The members of the jury took into account respect for the theme, originality, aesthetics and the technical quality of the shots.
This competition, open to both professionals and amateurs, was a great success with nearly 1,000 photos submitted by more than 220 photographers throughout the Kingdom. It helped encourage individual expression while creating a collective memory dynamic that transcends social or geographic origins.
Given the enthusiasm aroused by the photo competition, Langages du Sud will award a public prize which will go to the photo which has the most likes on its Instagram page next week.
A cultural testimony on the life of Moroccans during confinement
Beyond this photo competition, Langages du Sud launched an original dynamic to constitute a true cultural testimony of historical significance on the life of Moroccans during confinement.
The “Interior Horizons” approach is an original concept whose objective is to convey and enhance the quality and diversity of testimonies and expressions on containment.
Langages du Sud is also launching a digital platform, the production of an exceptional work on confinement with the contribution of renowned authors and artists, and is also thinking of developing an exhibition project.
