resident of the United States, Joe Biden declare attack Israel to Palestine as a form of self -defense. President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized Joe Biden’s attitude.
Reported AFP, Tuesday (18/5/2021), Erdogan said Biden was writing history with bloody hands. The criticism was conveyed in a speech broadcast on national TV.
“You are writing history with your bloody hand,” Erdogan said.
Erdogan stressed that his country would not step down to defend Palestine. “You are forcing us to say this. We cannot back down,” he said.
Other than that, Erdogan also calls Israel a terrorist state. He also said the United States had sold weapons to Israel.
“Today we see Biden’s signature on arms sales to Israel,” Erdogan said on Monday referring to US media reports of new arms shipments approved by the Biden administration.
Previously reported, Joe Biden, raised his voice about the rocket attack of Hamas and a number of militant groups into Israel. Biden supports Israel’s decision to defend itself against attacks on the disputed territory.
As reported by the news agency AFP, Sunday (16/5/2021), Biden’s concern about the heating up violence in Israel and Palestine was conveyed in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday (15/5). Biden expressed “strong support” for Israel to defend itself from a series of rocket attacks by Hamas and other terrorist groups while stressing concern over casualties from both sides.
“He (Biden) condemns indiscriminate attacks on cities across Israel,” the White House statement said.
In the statement, it was stated that Defense Minister Lloyd Austin was also involved in the telephone call with his Israeli partner, Benjamin Gantz. Austin reiterated Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas attacks.
“Austin strongly criticizes the continued incessant attacks by Hamas and other terrorist groups targeting Israeli civilians,” he said, adding that it had “shared its views on the need to restore the situation between the two sides.”
