Vy receives harsh criticism after expanding its car offer.
Car sharing services are growing. A number of players, owned by the car groups, entrepreneurial companies and the cooperative model Bilkollektivet are fighting for customers – in addition, state-owned Vy has established Vybil.
Vybil has expanded the offer with a minute price for small cars and larger cars at a daily price. Now the other players are provoked, because Vybil enters a market where there is already high competition, writes DN.

What really creates friction is that Vys subsidiary has bought 30 new Tesla Model 3, which they call turbines. One of the companies that responds is Fleks, which sells subscription solutions. Flex has 1,500 cars, while Bilkollektivet has 700 cars and Hyres 1000 cars, and there are eleven more players.
– Vy takes up the competition in a market where there is already a lot of innovation. They do this with the help of community funds through a state-owned company, says Lasse Heimberg, marketing manager at Fleks, to DN.
– They destroy the market and can survive as long as they want. This does not mean that the best mobility concept wins, he continues.

Synne Homble, Executive Vice President for Customer Experience and Innovation at Vy, rejects the criticism and believes that the Teslas respond to a demanded need.
– In the phase we are in now, we think it is good with more players who in total increase the offer of car sharing. It will help make it easier to use car sharing instead of a private car, Homble tells DN.
