The French walker had a hectic start to the race and appeared disoriented after half an hour of effort, wasting time on the peloton.

What happened with Yohann Diniz? Candidate for the podium in the men’s 50 km walk, the French lost a lot of time on the Chinese Yang Luo, who took the lead very early in the race, and the peloton. However, Diniz had started the race perfectly and even held the first place for a little while.
But the tricolor walker had some problems, after a passage to the toilet and a first detour, he stopped for the third time, in the middle of the road. He finally resumed the race in the last positions: he was 1’53 behind Yadong Luo, and 1’10 from the peloton after 10 kilometers of racing. A significant delay but not insurmountable for the tricolor walker, who seems to get better over the kilometers.
