The official representative of the Armed Forces of Yemen, Brigadier General Yahya al-Sari, announced that his country is entering the war against Israel. He announced support for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and military action against Israel. The general’s address was published on October 31 on the X social network.

The general said the decision was made “out of a sense of religious, moral, humanitarian and national responsibility” as well as in response to “the demands of the Yemeni people and the demands of free nations to come to the aid of our oppressed people in Gaza.”
He added that Yemen’s Shia Houthi rebels had fired a large number of missiles and drones at various targets in Israel. “Our armed forces fired a powerful volley of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as a large number of drones, against various targets in Israel. We will continue to carry out even better attacks using missiles and drones until the Israeli aggression stops.”
