Alexander Yanukovych will sue Venediktova

The Prosecutor General did not respond to the complaint of Alexander Yanukovych within the time frame established by law. Lawyers consider this a delay in the trial.

The son of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Alexander, intends to sue the Office of the Prosecutor General because of the inactivity of Irina Venediktova. His press secretary Yuri Cuirassier said this in Facebook.-

He recalled that on July 26, a complaint by Aleksandr Yanukovych was sent to the Office of the Prosecutor General about the inaction of prosecutors in the criminal case against him, which has been going on for seven years.

We are talking about a case in which Alexander Yanukovych is suspected of evading the payment of 40 million taxes in collusion with the management of PrJSC Artemovsk Winery.

In this regard, the press secretary cited arguments from the complaint of Yanukovych Jr. as proof that the case was fabricated.

  • The event of the crime itself is absent – the tax authorities did not establish the fact of tax evasion, the acts of inspections were not drawn up, there were no requirements for additional tax assessment and the imposition of any fines;

  • Alexander Yanukovych is not familiar with the management of the company, he has never seen them or communicated with them. This is known to the prosecutors and therefore for seven years they have deliberately avoided interrogating the management of PJSC Artemovsk Winery;

  • Prosecutors deliberately do not initiate a forensic examination, which would formally secure the absence of a crime event and would unconditionally lead to the closure of the case, in every possible way impede the defense in its conduct;

  • Prosecutors have long violated the procedural terms of the investigation, and deliberately do not consider numerous petitions of lawyers.

  • Prosecutors have avoided questioning Yanukovych himself, despite his numerous statements asking for it. For seven years, prosecutors have not made a single attempt to contact him and / or send a corresponding international request to the Russian Federation.

“The Office of the Prosecutor General realizes that an objective judicial review of the case will lead to its closure and shame for prosecutors. EU “, – writes Cuirassier.

He also noted that Yanukovych Jr. in the complaint demanded that Venediktova personally consider all the violations raised in her. According to the law, the complaint must be considered within three days, but this was not done.

“Venediktova violated the law and evaded consideration of the complaint. Thus, the Prosecutor General demonstrated the improper performance of her official duties, created grounds for doubting her objectivity and relentlessness,” Cuirassier wrote.

In this regard, the defense of Alexander Yanukovych intends to judicially recognize such inaction of the prosecutor general as unlawful and prove the intent of the prosecutors in non-adoption of a procedural decision and deliberately delaying the investigation.

In addition, the lawyers sent a complaint about the commission of a disciplinary offense by the prosecutor general to the personnel commission of the Office of the prosecutor general.
