Yamaha MT-09 2024 officially launched in Japan. This new MT-09 model is special because it marks 10 years of the MT-09 which was first launched in 2013. The appearance of the 2024 Yamaha MT-09 has changed completely, including updates to the seat, suspension, braking system and fuel tank.
Mechanically, the heart of the latest MT-09 is still the same as its predecessor, with an 890 cc Crossplane CP3 inline-triple that meets EU5+ regulatory standards and produces 117 hp at 11,000 rpm and 93 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

The engine power is channeled to the rear wheels via a chain drive, with a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch, which is equipped with an up-down quickshifter. Yamaha incorporated an ‘acoustic grille’ into the redesigned fuel tank to accentuate high-frequency sound at high speeds.
Another sophistication on the 2024 MT-09 is the 5 inch TFT-LCD instrument panel with connectivity to the rider’s smartphone via Bluetooth and the Yamaha MyRide application. The screen is also equipped with complete map navigation using the Garmin StreetCross application.
Riding modes on the 2024 MT-09 can be controlled or adjusted via the new handlebar buttons or using the MyRide app. The three riding modes on this naked bike include Sport, Street and Rain.

The typical motorbike features on the MT-09 2024 include a 6-axis Intertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Back Slip Regulator (BSR), 41 mm upside down front suspension, while the braking system is supplied by the well-known brand, Brembo. This motorbike has a seat height of 825, a tank capacity of 14 liters and a wet weight of 193 kg.
Oh yes, in terms of looks, the MT-09 2024 has also undergone slight changes. If in the previous model the MT-09’s face tended to be violent like a robot, in this latest model the appearance has been made calmer, but still maintains the combination of LED DRL lights and projector lights in the middle.
