Xiaomi Pad 6: A Step Closer to iPad with Upgraded Features and Specs

Rather than remaining in the entry-level segment, the group Xiaomi made the choice to propose with the Xiaomi Pad 5 a model approaching the iPad tablets thanks to a format and a higher configuration than most of the new players who have recently entered this market.

The next generation, namely the Xiaomi Pad 6, will be presented on April 18, 2023 and should follow the same logic. Its passage through the certification of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) makes it possible to complete what is known from the data sheet.

A tablet at ease in all areas

We already know that the tablet should offer an IPS LCD display of 11 inches in resolution 2880 x 1800 pixels with refresh rate of at least 120 Hz. The screen will be able to support a stylus (which has been the subject of a separate certification) and will have a dock / keyboard as an accessory.

On the processor side, it will offer a SoC Snapdragon 870 for the standard version and a chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro model. These are not the latest versions but it will remain sufficient for a very versatile use: entertainment, gaming, productivity…

Stylus and fast charging

FCC certification adds memory configuration: 6 or 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB storage space which should be supplemented with a 256 GB version, ie a standard configuration for this type of product.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet will carry a battery of 4320 mAh (stamped 4500 mAh) with fast charging 33W, if we are to believe the charger delivered with it. To see if the rumor of a faster charge in 67W will materialize (unless it is reserved for the Pro version).

Expected on April 18 with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone and the Xiaomi Band 8 connected bracelet, the Xiaomi Pad 6 touch tablet still keeps the mystery of its price for a few days.
