Jakarta (ANTARA) – Xiaomi launched a new 100W wireless charger in China called Mi 100W Wireless Charging Standp. This is an enhanced version of the Mi 80W Wireless Charging Stand which was launched in late March.
The new Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand is almost identical to the older Mi 80W Wireless Charging Stand. The main differences between the two are charging speed, color and security layer.
The two chargers are similar in terms of design. The phone can be placed on it either vertically or horizontally for charging. The newer model comes in black with gold accents, while the older model uses white with silver accents.
As the name suggests, the new charger has a level output maximum 100W, while the old one has output 80W. However, both use the same Mi 120W charger and 6A USB cable included in the box.

The Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand has the model number MDY-13-EL, while the Mi 80W Wireless Charging Stand comes with the model number MDY-13-ED.
The Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand has an additional layer of protection against current calibration, in addition to overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, low voltage protection, over temperature protection, foreign body detection and electrostatic protection.
Just like the old model, the newer model is also equipped with a dual coil design and dynamic fan, which works when needed. Since using the Qi standard, this accessory can be used to charge almost any product with wireless charging support.
However, only Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi MIX 4 can use ‘Ultra Fast Wireless Charging Mode’. In simpler words, the phones can charge wirelessly at the maximum supported speeds of 67W and 50W.
Xiaomi claims that the Mi MIX 4 with a 4,500mAh battery and support for 50W wireless charging can be fully charged in 28 minutes using the new Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand.
The Xiaomi Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand is priced at around IDR 1.3 million in China. The first sale of this accessory is scheduled for August 16.
As of now, there is no official word about the availability of this charger in the global market, according to Gizmochina.
