Right after the international release, Xiaomi intends to announce a new Mi 11 Pro and Ultra models during the event scheduled for Monday. While no device has complete official specifications yet, the company is releasing a new battery technology that will make its debut with the Mi 11 Ultra.
Xiaomi is turning to silicon-oxygen anode batteries for its next flagship product, such as advertised on Weibo and Indonesia. Silicon Oxygen battery technology is relatively new and has never been used to power a smartphone. The company claims the move is inspired by electric vehicles, providing significantly faster charge times for its new phones while using a much smaller footprint inside the chassis.

Xiaomi too tease a new chipset, a first since 2017. Its newest processor, the SoC Surge S1, has never received a suitable successor, but with more hints on Weibo specifically highlighting the word ‘surge’, it looks like Surge S2 is coming. Few more days.
