Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Xiaomi has released its newest flagship, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. Both target the user segment who wants a device with the latest innovations but does not neglect the aesthetic side.
“We are very happy with the progress of our flagship and in my opinion the Xiaomi 12 series is the most complete flagship that we have launched to date,” said Xiaomi Indonesia Country Director Alvin Tse, during a virtual press conference, Thursday (7/4/2022).
According to Alvin, Xiaomi 12 is a smartphone with a compact design and is comfortable to hold with one hand. However, the specifications are still designed to be able to support various user needs and activities.

This device has a 6.73-inch AMOLED curved display with WQHD+ resolution supported by Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ so that it can produce 180% clearer images,
It is also accredited with SGS Eye Care Display Certification, and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
As for performance, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that already supports 5G networks in Indonesia. This performance is mated to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory.
“Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 enables the premium experience consumers deserve across a wide variety of networks,” said Christiano Amon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Qualcomm.
In the photography sector, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is equipped with three main cameras, 50MP wide-angle (Sony IMX707), 50MP ultra-wide with 115-degree aperture, and 50MP telephoto camera.
The selfie camera uses a 32MP camera that is equipped with various features with the support of Xiaomi’s AI technology.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is supported by a 4,600 mAh battery capacity. Charging also uses 120W Xiaomi HyperCharge.
In Indonesia, this device will be available in gray, purple, and blue color options at a price of Rp. 12.9 million.

The Xiaomi 12 has a 6.28-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution. The Xiaomi 12 has a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Alvin said that the Xiaomi 12 can be held in one hand so it is suitable for use by female users. This device has dimensions of 152 mm x 69.9 mm and a thickness of 8.16 mm.
Xiaomi 12 is supported by a Sony IMX766 camera sensor with three main cameras, namely 50MP wide angle, 13MP ultrawide, and 5MP telemacro. While selfie capabilities are left to the 32MP camera.
Xiaomi 12 also features dual-speaker stereo to produce cinematic sound and is supported by Dolby Vision. This device is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which already supports 5G networks.
Despite having a compact body, the Xiaomi 12 is supported by a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging available in the package. There is also 50W wireless charging capability.
Xiaomi 12 comes in 8GB RAM version and 256GB internal memory to help users load multiple apps and files.
Gray, purple and blue color options are available for consumers in Indonesia. Another feature available is an on-screen fingerprint scanner. This phone is priced at Rp. 9.9 million.
Both can be purchased with a pre-order system starting tonight at 20.30 WIB until April 13, 2022. And the next sale will start on April 14, 2022.
