If the rumors are confirmed, Sony will launch PS5 Pro in the second half of 2024. The device is intended to extend the life of PlayStation 5 and provide the corporation with adequate time to prepare PS6.

The situation of the next-gen Xbox was commented on by RedGamingTech, which confirmed that the work schedule on “Xbox Next” has been significantly changed compared to the document leak from early 2023.
Microsoft was supposed to change its plan, abandon the Xbox Series X without a drive, to focus on developing the next console as soon as possible – the new Xbox is scheduled to hit the market in 2026.
The situation is interesting, however, because Xbox Next is to be powered by the AMD Zen 5 processor, and not Zen 6 as stated in previous documents – all because of time, because AMD will not be ready to provide Microsoft with the appropriate technology in 2026.
As a result, Xbox Next will debut much faster than PlayStation 6, but the console may be cheaper and weaker than Sony’s next-gen. The Japanese company will be able to calmly refine the device, which, although it will debut much later, will allow the PS6 to benefit from more modern solutions.
Microsoft is to follow the path of Xbox 360, which debuted in 2005, a year before the premiere of PlayStation 3. While Sony will be offering the PS6, the manufacturer could take the opportunity to offer a more powerful version of the Xbox Next.
According to rumors, Microsoft may even prepare two consoles for the start of the new generation, but the weaker, cheaper model would take advantage of the cloud’s potential and be designed with Xbox Game Pass games in mind.
