It’s D-Day for Xavier Mercier and his companion Laura. This Saturday, July 18, the former emblematic champion of Twelve noon shots celebrates her marriage with the one who shares her life. Invited to the ceremony, Jean-Luc Reichmann had promised to be present, and the host of TF1’s daily game kept his word, as can be seen in a photo he uploaded to his Instagram account.
Marriage after weeks of uncertainty
We see Jean-Luc Reichmann, in a bomber jacket and scarves around his neck, taking a selfie alongside Xavier, dressed in a white shirt decorated with a green bow tie. “Very happy and very proud to be by your side on this beautiful day Xavier”, wrote the host of 12 noon shots in caption of this selfie, accompanying his commentary of emojis representing a church and two grooms.
Despite the epidemic of coronavirus, Xavier and his sweetheart, with whom he recently toured the world for four months, will therefore finally have been able to say yes as planned in July. Last Thursday, May 21, the couple had made an appearance by videoconference in The 12 noon shots. And the young woman had confided that their marriage was compromised due to the health crisis and restrictions imposed by the authorities to limit the spread of the virus.
“Like hundreds of French people who were planning to get married this summer”, Xavier and Laura were then in total uncertainty a few weeks before the big day. “After ten years of relationship, we had finally decided to get married. But for now, it’s still in the dark”, had lamented the young woman with Jean-Luc Reichmann. “Like all French people, we are waiting for June 2 to find out if weddings will be possible this summer in a large group”, she added. The wedding was therefore indeed able to take place, and we send our best wishes to the newlyweds.
