Real society faced with Real Madrid in the continuation of La Liga. Xabi Alonso hope Sociedad can beat his former club.
Sociedad vs Madrid will take place at Anoeta Stadium, Sunday (5/12/2021) early morning WIB. Los Blancos currently lead the LaLiga standings with 36 points and Sociedad are third with 29 points.
This match was highlighted by Xabi Alonso as the coach of the Real Sociedad B team. The 40-year-old man had a good time with Carlo Ancelotti during his time as a player at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Madrid is now a thing of the past for Alonso. He hopes that Sociedad, as his current job and as the first professional club to play for, can beat Madrid.
“He (Ancelotti) did a great job, his team has great energy, but I hope it doesn’t happen tomorrow and Real Sociedad have a good game and get a good result,” Alonso said as quoted by Marca.
Xabi Alonso’s relationship with Ancelotti in the past was not just a player and a coach. The former Liverpool midfielder is also very close to the Ancelotti family.
“With Carlo (Ancelotti) I had the opportunity to work in two different periods, at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, and I have a very close relationship with him, with his staff, his son,” Alonso revealed.
“They are very warm and loving people. We talk a lot about football experiences, such as the Istanbul final (in 2005). I thank him for his words and I continue to follow him,” he concluded.
