X Factor star Alice Haijima returns to music

“When I was invited to sing this song, its message immediately resonated with me. With this piece, I want to give hope and inspiration to those who are in all kinds of difficulties. Every difficult phase of life has to start with an important choice – in this case, the choice to help yourself. In other words, if you don’t want to help yourself, others won’t be able to either,” says musician Alice Haijima thoughtfully, adding:

“Working with Oskar and Jānis was great. The recording was made in a really relaxed atmosphere, during which we freely expressed our opinion on any issue, also discussing various personal experiences.”

Musician Oskars Deigelis is also pleased with the collaboration: “Everything started with a call from Jānis, during which he told me about the idea of ​​the song. After listening to its draft, I immediately set about creating the melodic line, then writing the text in two languages ​​- Latvian and English. I am glad that now it is possible to hear our masterpiece performed by the owner of the great voice Alice Hayim.”

On the other hand, when talking about the content of the piece, the musicians point out that the song “Choices” is about the need and ability to stand up after life’s hard blows.”

It should be noted that in the final recording of the piece, a whole constellation of musicians, including Jānis Kalniņš (guitars), Gunārs Toms Narbuts (percussion instruments), Antra Stafecka (additional vocals in the English version) and Eduards Dubra (keyboards) performed their artava in the final recording of the piece.
