Deonna Purrazzo joined Impact Wrestling, after being fired by WWE due to the company’s economic adjustments amid the pandemic.

It took American Deonna Purrazzo less than two months to win the Impact Wrestling women’s championship belt, after debuting in the company’s ring on June 9.
As part of the Slammiversary show, held this Saturday, ‘la Virtuosa’ defeated Jordynne Grace in a match that lasted about 16 minutes and won the championship.
The American made her surrender with a ‘Double Fujiwara Armbar’ key, crowning herself as the queen of Impact and ending Grace’s dominance, which lasted 182 days.
The new champion of the Knockouts (this is the name of the women’s division of Impact Wrestling), who between 2014 and 2017 already participated in several battles of the company – called ‘TNA Wrestling’ at that time -, announced her return last month May, weeks after entering the long list of WWE employees fired in April due to the company’s economic adjustments caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Purrazzo’s triumph at Impact Wrestling, one of the best-known companies in US wrestling, caused a stir on social media, where fans and colleagues were quick to congratulate her on the victory.
