During broadcasts of Monday Night RAW via USA Network, it has been confirmed a new stipulation for the United States Championship match between Apollo Crews and MVP at SummerSlam 2020, WWE’s next pay-per-view.
This week on RAW there was a new verbal exchange between the United States champion Apollo Crews and his rival this Sunday MVP. Apollo pointed out to the leader of “The Hurt Business” his dependence on Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley, and challenged him to compete at SummerSlam without the presence of both men. MVP accepted on the condition that the incumbent could defeat Benjamin in a heads up. Apollo managed to get a quick win over the 24/7 WWE champion, making the new stipulation for the event official.
A couple of weeks ago, MVP was defeated in a match against Apollo Crews for the United States Championship. The veteran competitor grabbed a microphone and addressed the company cameras. “The 305” clarified that technical glitches in the arena distracted him, and quickly requested a rematch for the title at SummerSlam. Charly Caruso was in charge of telling MVP that Apollo had accepted his request, making this fight for pay-per-view official.
Remember that WWE SummerSlam 2020 will take place this Sunday, August 23 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Fans will be able to watch this event via pay-per-view and through WWE Network, as well as in the new “ThunderDome” mode. Here is the updated billboard of the event to date.
