From April 28th to May 1st, many of the SmackDown stars will be on a major WWE European tour. That’s why the SmackDown show is scheduled for April 29th. already pre-recorded. What viewers can expect… (CAUTION: SPOILER ALERT!)
A double dose of SmackDown bliss for WWE Friends in Albany, New York!
Due to the upcoming European trip of numerous superstars, the SmackDown show for April 29th was recorded directly after the live broadcast from yesterday (April 22nd – report here).
Therefore, some program items for the next episode had already been announced. For example the debut of Raquel Rodriguez, a “Beat the Clock” competition with Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey and the steel cage match with Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre.

REIGNS AND McINTYRE COLLAPSE
The most interesting development came on the sidelines of a contract signing for the Tag Team Title Unification Match with the Uso brothers and RK-Bro. This is where Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre clashed.
It was already foreseeable that Reigns-McIntyre would be the big title match this summer. Work is now being done in this direction.

NOW SAMI CAN’T ESCAPE ANYMORE!
Sami Zayn ran away from Drew McIntyre in his matches for three weeks in a row. After the lumberjack match, there was now a steel cage match. This was clearly won by McIntyre.

RONDA ROUSEY GEWINNT „BEAT THE CLOCK”
In the “Beat the Clock” competition between Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, the title challenger prevailed. The contest took place under difficult “I Quit!” conditions.
Ronda Rousey set a time with a win over Shotzi.
Charlotte Flair then faced Aliyah. When Aliyah was about to retire in the Figure 8 leglock, the clock ran out. Ronda won faster than Charlotte, who lost the comparison…

Madcap Moss appeared on Happy Corbin’s Happy Talk. A physical altercation ensued. No joke! Corbin was beaten out of the ring.

King Woods prevailed against Ridge Holland. Sheamus won a match against Kofi Kingston.
Naomi won a match against Shayna Baszler.
Raquel Rodriguez bested a local opponent in her SmackDown debut.
Intercontinental Champion Ricochet remained successful. After recently defeating Jinder Mahal, Shanky also lost out. After the defeat there was trouble with the Indian team.
The extent to which these matches and segments will all be broadcast and what developments may result from them for WrestleMania Backlash on May 8th will only be resolved by the TV broadcast.
Fans in Albany also got a Dark Match in addition to two SmackDown shows: Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair def. Sonya Deville. Both women got a chance to work together ahead of Monday’s televised match on Raw in Knoxville.
