The Mandalika Circuit is threatened with being unable to perform WSBK and MotoGP Indonesia due to sanctions from WADA

OtoRace.id – Surprising news came about the title of WSBK (World Superbike) and Indonesian MotoGP from Mandalika circuit alias Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Lombok, NTB.

This is related to the news reported by Reutres.com that the world anti-doping agency (WADA), imposed sanctions on three countries in Asia, namely Indonesia, Thailand and North Korea.

In this case, WADA assesses North Korea, Thailand and Indonesia were declared non -compliant with WADA.

In a statement, WADA said that North Korea and Indonesia’s National Anti-Doping Agency (NADO) was declared non-compliant for not implementing an effective testing program.

This makes these three countries ineligible to be granted the right to host regional, continental or world championships during the suspension.

In fact, just yesterday the ITDC (Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation) as the manager of the Mandalika area and related sponsors inaugurated the name of the Mandalika circuit to Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit (7/10).

Not only that, Dorna Sports as the promoter of MotoGP has also set a date for the implementation of the Indonesian MotoGP on March 20, 2022.

Even before that, the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit will also stage two international events in November 2021.
