Written Exam Held to Fill Prosecution Position in Esquel, Argentina

This Tuesday, the written exam to fill a position of Prosecutor’s Attorney in Esquel and form an order of merit for the Lago Puelo Prosecutor’s Office took place in Esquel. The Evaluating Tribunal is made up of Emilio Porras Hernández, President of the Council of Prosecutors, the Coordinator of the Crime Victim Assistance Service, Luis Amarfil, the counselor Andrea Vázquez and Fabián Nesprías for HR.

María Cristina Abella, Secretary of the Council of Prosecutors, traveled to Esquel to receive the registrants and coordinate this instance of the contest. In dialogue with the CEN, she explained that the position of prosecutor’s attorney is one of the newest charges. This is the third contest that takes place throughout the province. The idea is, in addition to filling vacant positions, to form lists in order of merit that last for a year, so that when these positions arise they can be filled with the people who make up the list.

There are vacant positions in the Trelew, Sarmiento and Esquel Prosecutor’s Offices. This contest seeks to fill a position in Esquel and form an order of merit for the Lago Puelo Prosecutor’s Office.

The first stage of the exam is written. It can consist of questions to be developed, it can have true or false or multiple choice items, and it can also be combined. The regulation establishes that, to go to the second instance, oral, a floor of 60 points must be reached. Then they move on to the oral and the interview with HR. There the evaluation is made together with the background, those who reach 75 points enter the order of merit.

The Evaluating Tribunal has, by regulation, up to thirty business days to correct the written exams. In Trelew nineteen people surrendered, in Esquel seventeen registered and in Sarmiento there are five registered.

The contestants were distributed in different offices of the Esquel Prosecutor’s Office building. The supervision of the activity is carried out by the counselor Carlos Díaz Mayer, the Prosecutor María Bottini, the Attorney Carlos Cavallo and the Department Head, María Inés Vassallo.
