Wow! Natural rash, 5-year-old boy suspected of being infected with monkeypox

A 5-year-old girl in India is suspected of being infected with monkeypox or monkeypox. According to local officials, doctors at a private hospital in the state of Uttar Pradesh detected monkeypox-like symptoms in the girl.

To confirm this, health officials have collected samples from patients and sent them for testing at the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune.

“A sample of a five-year-old girl was collected for monkeypox testing, as a precaution, as she had complaints of itching and rashes on her body,” Ghaziabad’s chief medical officer was quoted as saying. Straits TimesSunday (5/6/2022).

“He has no other health problems and is doing well. Neither he nor any of his close contacts have traveled abroad in the past month.”

Initially, the girl was taken to the hospital last Friday (3/6) to treat an ear infection. However, doctors noticed that there were monkeypox-like lesions all over his body.

“I saw wounds all over her body and they looked like monkey pox. We immediately alerted the health department and isolated the girl,” explained Dr BP Tyagi, an ENT specialist.

“The family informed us that several children in the family had developed similar infections and two of them have recovered.”

Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease characterized by several symptoms. For example, such as fever, rash, to swollen lymph nodes.

However, so far no cases of monkeypox have been found in India. Even so, India’s federal Ministry of Health has issued guidelines on the treatment of monkeypox.
