Wow! Hubble Space Telescope Captures Largest Image Of Galaxy

According to NASA’s Near Earth Object (NEO), the size of the space rock is estimated to be about 1,150 to 2,560 feet (350 to 780 meters) in diameter. It is currently traveling through space at a speed of about 23,300 miles per hour. Photo: ( Zee News Network )

JAKARTA, kilat.com- The Hubble Space Telescope is vital in mapping the universe and since its launch in 1990, it has submitted a large number of images for NASA to study.

Over the years, these images have helped NASA and a number of researchers to understand the universe better and over time, technology has also advanced tremendously.

An international team of scientists has now released what is considered the largest infrared image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. It covers a large number of areas, and the researchers believe that the images can help in understanding star-forming regions in the universe and galaxy very far away.

Researchers at the University of Toronto came up with a new technique known as Drift and Shift (DASH) to capture the image and according to their research, it was able to create an image almost eight times larger than the normal image taken by Hubble. telescope.

According to a paper to be published in The Astrophysical Journal, this technique helped Hubble to take eight images per orbit instead of one, resulting in a large increase in the data and the images were eventually lumped together to create a panoramic view.

“Since launching more than 30 years ago, the Hubble Space Telescope has led a resurgence in the study of how galaxies have changed in the last 10 billion years of the universe,” said Lamiya Mowla of the University of Toronto.

“The 3D-DASH program extends Hubble’s legacy in wide-area imaging so that we can begin to unravel the mysteries of galaxies beyond our own,” he added. (nda)
