FLY – President Russia Vladimir Putin shows no signs of slowing down its invasion of Ukraine after one bomber aircraft deadliest man sent to his army.

Tu-22M3 bombers manufactured by the Tupolev Aircraft Company were supplied to the Russian Air Force for use in Ukraine.

Russia’s TASS news agency reported that the aircraft was initially thought not to be built, but the country’s procurement plans changed during the war and it has now been delivered.

“Tupolev Aircraft Company has delivered its brand new Tu-22M3 missile bomber to the Russian Air Force Long-Range Aviation for operation after repair under the defense procurement plan,” a company spokesman said. Daily starWednesday (30/11/2022).

The delivered Tu-22M3 bombers were older models that have been repaired and upgraded for combat, and 500 of them will be modified in total.

According to reports, the Tu-22M3 has a top speed of Mach 2.05 and can carry multiple hypersonic missiles.

Now the bomber also has a new navigation system, as well as a bomb launch unit for greater accuracy.

The news of the upgraded bombers comes as reports surfaced that Putin is looking to dent the hard-earned wallets of the British people on crisis-support expenses as the war in Ukraine continues at colossal cost, a military expert said.
