World snowboard champion dies buried by an avalanche in Switzerland – Modalidades

Julie Pomagalski, world snowboarding champion, died yesterday after being hit by an avalanche while skiing in the Swiss Alps.

The 40-year-old Frenchwoman was accompanied by the mountain guide, Bruno Cutelli. Rescuers arrived at the scene by helicopter, but both Julie and Bruno were found lifeless, buried in the snow. The French Olympic team regrets what happened and shared a message of support for the family on social media.
