World Cup 2022: Did Camavinga cause Nkunku’s injury?

Christopher Nkunku must lose the dream of appearing on World Cup 2022 due to injury. Eduardo Camavinga accused of being the cause of Nkunku’s absence. How come?

Nkunku was originally included in the list of deceased players French National at the 2022 World Cup. Disaster struck the RB Leipzig striker in a training session Blues in Etival-Clairefontaine, France on Tuesday (15/11/2022).

Nkunku went down after trying to win the ball with Camavinga. He held on to his left leg before standing up and limping.

Eduardo Camavinga came into the spotlight for Nkunku’s injury. The Real Madrid player has been accused of being too tough in the fight for the ball with his compatriot.

Quite a few French fans accused Camavinga of being responsible for Nkunku’s problems. Fans lambasted and criticized the 20-year-old midfielder.

On the other side there are those who defend Camavinga and say that Nkunku was injured due to his own mistake. In the slowed down replays Camavinga can be seen tackling the ball while Nkunku goes down after a slide that bends his left ankle.

Under surveillance detik Sport as of Wednesday (11/16) WIB morning, Camavinga had not released an official statement regarding Nkunku’s injury.
