The past few years have been disappointing for André Schürrle. In Dortmund he had no chance, lending to England and Russia was unsuccessful. Now he has drawn a line under the BVB period.

André Schürrle no longer plays for Borussia Dortmund. As the club announced on Wednesday, the contract of the former international will be canceled by mutual agreement. Schürrle would have actually played for Borussia until 2021.
No more perspective under Favre

The 29-year-old had under Lucien Favre no longer a perspective at BVB. On the offensive wings, the coach plans with other players like Jadon Sancho, Thorgan Hazard or Giovanni Reyna.
Schürrle came to Dortmund from Wolfsburg in 2016, but never really hit. Two years later he became FC Fulham awarded, he played for last season Spartak Moscow.
