Work begins on the Ricardo Bofill skyscraper in Valncia

Kronos Homes has started work onconstruction of the Bofill tower on Avenida Cortes Valencianas de València. After obtaining the building license last February, the works started with the movement of earth and foundations that will be carried out by the company Rodio Kronsa.Ikon, designed by Ricardo Bofill, will become thetallest residential building in Valencia. Its two towers, scheduled for completion in 2023, will have 30 and 14 floors, with 142 and 61 homes respectively. The project is winning the game to the projected towers in Mestalla. The most expensive apartment costs around two million euros. The promotion has attracted investors and families, who have reserved a hundred apartments.

The new promotion, of which more than 50% has already been sold, offers a wide typology ofhouses from 1 to 4 bedrooms with a starting price of 176,000 euros. Its design allows to adapt the spaces to the needs of the tenants: from open and diaphanous distributions, to others that are more welcoming and calm. In addition, Ikon has a Mediterranean garden, swimming pool and solarium, designed to enjoy the city’s climate, as well as a gym and a gourmet social space.

The building will be located in one of the most projected areas of Valencia; opposite Les Cortes Valencianas avenue, next to the Palacio de Congresos and less than five minutes from Beniferri metro station. A privileged location, surrounded by parks such as the Polifilo Garden and the Benicalap Park Pool

The project has been approached, not as a building, but as a fundamental piece in the gearing of the urban fabric, something characteristic in all the works of Ricardo Bofill, one of the most internationally recognized Spanish postmodernist architects.
