Like every year, except for these two pandemic years, the parents’ association of Notre Dame de la Ronce school in Saint-Quay-Portrieux (Cotes-d’Armor) organise the only women’s race open to men – provided however that the men are invited by a person of the opposite sex!.
It is Quinocéennean altruistic and generous running race, which will take place this year on June 12, 2022 :
Each athlete runs for the cause that is dear to him or not; for fun: running to catch up on time, to get bread; or for the cause supported by the association. This year, it is about the promotion of voluntary blood donation.
Last year, La Quinocéenne was for the benefit of the fight against endometriosis, a check for 600 € was given to the association.
No timer
Each edition more numerous, the participants appreciate the atmosphere of the meeting.
There is no stopwatch, we defend a cause, alone, in pairs, in 10s, in 100s, we run on secure and marked routes, and then the atmosphere before, during and after the race. We are doing everything we can to ensure that women and mothers can come and run. There will be child care at the start village (free, but must be booked in advance).
Before the race, “the runners will have a warm-up by a professional. After arrival, each participant will receive a small symbolic gift and the possibility of having lunch on site will be possible.
Four opportunities to exercise: walking or running, over 6 and 12 kilometers instead of 5 and 10 in previous years.

Rates for runners and walkers: €8 before the race, €10 the day of the race. Runners start at 10 a.m., bibs to be picked up at the start village, in the Duchess Anne park.
