On Thursday, January 26, for the second time, the professional fire brigade of Offenbach will digitally welcome all women who want to learn more about their training opportunities in an interactive format and get a taste of the fire service.
Between 17:00 and 19:00 there is a digital tour of the fire station and an insight into the various areas of responsibility. In addition, the training process and the selection process are presented, there are open question and answer sessions and discussion sessions. The event is a great opportunity to exchange ideas with potential future colleagues and to get an exclusive look behind the scenes of the Offenbach fire brigade.
Two entrance exam preparation workshops will also be held in spring 2023. At the craft workshop in a wood workshop in Offenbach, applicants can brush up on their craft skills under the professional guidance of a carpenter. The sports workshop offers interested women a good opportunity to train for the recruitment test for professional firefighters and to learn more about the requirements.
The team of 200 firefighters is happy to have new faces who want to help shape the fire brigade on its way into the future and who appreciate a particularly familiar atmosphere. The application phase for the start of training in April 2024 starts in early 2023. The selection process will take place in May and June 2023. All women who are interested in starting an apprenticeship in April 2024 and who still have points questions in the head are cordially invited to the digital introductory event “Women on fire”. You should not be over 34 at the start of your training.
