The risk factors for this condition is obesity, having had children after 35 years of age, a history of a family member in direct line such as mother, grandmother or sister who suffered from this disease, having started their menstrual cycle before the 12 years of age, or not having breastfed.
The ideal age to perform the first mammogram is from 40 years of age, in case of not having a family history it should be performed every 2 years and after 50 years every year.
