Woman stabbed to death by her son in Queens, New York

Hyun Sook Cho, a 59-year-old woman, died yesterday after receiving multiple stab wounds at her home in Queens and the New York police arrested her 20-year-old son as a suspect in the crime.

Officers responded to a home on 191st St. near Station Road, Auburndale Neighborhood, around 2 pm on Friday. There they found the victim face down on a bed and covered in blood, police said. Paramedics took her to New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens, where she was pronounced dead.

A neighbor who gave his name only as Harry, 51, told Daily News that he had seen the victim’s husband run into his house and the police arrived shortly after.

Then the agents took out handcuffed Dennis Cho, the woman’s son. He was charged with manslaughter, assault, obstruction of breathing and other charges, the police said.

“They were always fighting,” the neighbor added about the mother and her son. According to him, the cops had been to the family home for heated arguments on numerous occasionsthe last time on Christmas Eve.

At the moment there was no more information available about the motive of the crime. All charges are mere accusations and those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
