Ramon Teihotua played tennis with a friend. He is still in shock: “It was excruciating. We played tennis and there was this granny doing her rounds … then I saw her on the ground with several dogs around her. I hunted 4-5 dogs and when I got there, I think she was already gone. She had lots of bites. The dogs came back to attack me … only pitbulls … it was really excruciating … the pitbulls were bloody, mean … we chased them with iron bars and rackets.

The two owners of the dogs were placed in police custody. An investigation is under way for manslaughter. The dogs were captured.
