Woman died after stabbing in Helmond, son arrested

A 68-year-old woman was killed in a stabbing in Helmond. Her 43-year-old son has been arrested. He had a knife with him when he was arrested.

The victim was found seriously injured in her home at Lambertushof around 1.30 pm. Shortly afterwards she died of her injuries.

At about the same time, the victim’s son was arrested at another location in Helmond. He had a knife with him. Police are still investigating what led to the stabbing Broadcasting Brabant. It has also yet to be established with certainty that the knife that the man had in his pocket was used as a weapon in the stabbing.
