Little fire, lots of smoke

– At the moment we don’t know anything more about the cause until we can investigate the crime scene. There wasn’t a lot of fire, but a lot of smoke, so it must have been a fire in one form or another, says Eivind Hellesund, director of operations in the Western Police District in VG.

The fire was discovered after a lot of smoke and smoke bombs were sent.

The fire was confined to the apartment of the deceased.

Site operations leader Casper Kaland says Bergens Tidende that the police were alerted by a neighbor.

– The apartment is not burned down. It’s too early to say anything about the cause. The case will be investigated, he tells the newspaper.
