GRÜNERLØKKA (VG) A man in his 20s has died after being found bleeding and with injuries in an apartment in Oslo. A woman is charged with murder.
The police in Oslo received a report at 17:25 about a man with bleeding injuries in an apartment building on Grünerløkka in Oslo.
The man in his 20s was found with very serious injuries in the staircase. Life-saving first aid was administered, but after half an hour he was pronounced dead.
Next of kin have not been notified.
– The man has been confirmed dead, and the person who was in the apartment has been arrested and charged, the police write at 18.06.
Crime leader Kjersti Myhre informs VG that the woman has been charged with murder. The accused is a woman in her 30s.
She confirms that there is a relationship between the deceased and the accused.
The residential building is centrally located on Grünerløkka, with several restaurants and bars nearby. It is often very crowded in the area.
Neighbors VG talks to in the same building say that they have not heard or seen anything. A neighbor says that he had not been aware of the incident until a friend elsewhere in Norway tipped him off.
At the bar on the street outside, people are sitting with a beer on the pavement and say they haven’t noticed anything special either, before the police and ambulance suddenly roll up.
Operations manager in the Oslo police district, Guro Sandnes, tells VG that the police are now working to get in touch with any witnesses, and for that reason cannot say what type of injuries the deceased has.
Sandnes says that it was AMK that reported to the police.

Driven to the arrest
– For the time being, we are working on the hypothesis that this is a murder, but the background for it is too early to say anything about, says task leader Svend Bjelland at the scene.
The police want tips from witnesses.
– There is nothing to suggest that this is completely random, says Bjelland.
The arrested woman was found at the scene, says Bjelland. She has now been taken to the detention center.
– There is no indication that others are involved, he says.
– Was the woman arrested immediately?
– We got control quickly. The arrest was undramatic.
He says the woman was physically unharmed.
He does not want to say anything about whether a weapon has been seized.
Crime leader Myhre does not want to go into the course of action.
– We are in an initial phase of an early investigation, she says.
– We will remain at the site beyond now with police resources with tactical and technical investigations, witness interviews and electronic traces. We will be there for a few hours.
