A woman buried under the rubble of a collapsed house wall in Curug Village, Bogor city, West Java, was evacuated by joint officers in a condition of death. The woman named Manah (52) was buried for approximately seven hours.
“Thank God the victim has been lifted, he was evacuated earlier at 23.40 WIB. The condition of the victim was dead when he was evacuated, the victim’s name was Mrs. Manah, aged 52,” said Head of BPBD Bogor City Theofillo Patricinio at the scene, Friday (15/7/2022) night.
Theofillo said the evacuation process was carried out at 18.30 WIB or about 30 minutes after the landslide. Thick and large wall materials as well as a narrow area became one of the obstacles for the joint SAR team when evacuating. So the evacuation process took a long time and took about seven hours.

“The position of the victim, Mrs. Manah, is in the back room and behind a wall that was crushed by a fairly large wall, so there were obstacles for joint officers to evacuate,” said Theofillo.
It was previously reported that heavy rains that flushed the city of Bogor caused the walls of the houses of residents in Curug Village, Bogor City, to collapse. In this incident, a woman who is a resident of the house was buried and is still in the process of being evacuated.
“Yes, there is one person who is buried, he is a resident of this house. Only one person is buried, his name is Manah, a woman. If her husband and child are safe,” said local resident Yoyoh (51), when met at the scene, Friday (15 /7).
