Wolfsburg – VfL Wolfsburg will have to do without right-back William for several months again.
The Brazilian suffered a serious injury in his right knee in the test against the second division club FC Hansa Rostock, as the Bundesliga club announced after investigations. The 26-year-old only returned to Wolfsburg early from his loan station at FC Schalke 04 in the summer with a cruciate ligament rupture. After a few months in rehab, William had only just fought his way back, but had to leave the field against Rostock just a few minutes after being substituted on.
