Wolf found hit by a car on A2 in Limburg

The dead wolf in Nederweert is the third in four months that has been hit in this region. It is not yet known whether it was male or female. It is also not yet known whether it was a wolf that has been seen before.

The animal is further examined in the Dutch Wildlife Health Center of Utrecht University and Wageningen Environmental Research, among other things to determine age, stomach contents and condition. DNA research should make it clear which wolf it is exactly.
