Wolf at Strabrechtse Heide struck three times in September | Inland

Sheep were bitten all three times, reports Omroep Brabant.

The wolf has permanently settled in the nature reserve this year, experts concluded earlier. The four-legged friend from France has been living in the southeast of the province for a long time.

On September 1 a sheep was taken to graze in Heeze. Two weeks later, three sheep were injured or killed in Someren and on September 17, the wolf also targeted a sheep. This time in Lierop.

Also in October, livestock keepers reported attacks from possibly the wolf. Bij12 is still conducting research into the origin of the bite wounds by means of DNA testing. In some cases it is not a wolf but a dog or a fox.
