The performance of the Wisla captain Jakub Błaszczykowski in the last four matches of the current season of PKO Ekstraklasa is a big question mark. The reason is the injury, which the leader of the “White Star” suffered during the Saturday meeting with Górnik Zabrze.
Błaszczykowski suffered an injury during the first half of the away match against Górnik, after a clash with one rivals during a running duel. The captain of Wisła was unable to continue the game and his place on the pitch was taken by Rafał Boguski.
Everything seems to indicate that Błaszczykowski suffered a trauma to the biceps of the thigh, but it is not known yet how serious the injury is. The answer to this question will give research, which will pass a 34-year-old athlete. Nevertheless, his performance in the last matches of this season is a big question mark.
“We think it’s a biceps muscle injury.” We’ll see if it’s a stretch or a tear. The ultrasound image will show tomorrow or the day after tomorrow what the situation looks like – said Wisła trainer Artur Skowronek during the post-match press conference.
Wisła has four matches left to the end of this season. The rivals of the “White Star” will be ŁKS Łódź (July 3), Korona Kielce (July 11), Zagłębie Lubin (July 14) and Arka Gdynia (July 18).
Jakub Błaszczykowski has played in 22 league matches so far, seven times on the list of scorers.
