US President Donald Trump accepted this Thursday 27-A the Republican Party’s nomination to run for a second and final presidential term in the November 3 elections, in which he will face the Democratic candidate, former Vice President Joe Biden.
“With a heart full of gratitude and boundless optimism, I deeply accept this nomination for the Presidency of the United States,” Trump said in his address to the Republican National Convention, delivered live on the South Lawn of the White House before around 1,500 people, sitting in chairs together and with hardly any masks.
He had previously pointed out that, if elected, his rival in the November elections, former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden, will lead a “repressive” and “socialist” movement to the White House that will “demolish” the fate of the United States and the American dream.
“These are the most important elections in the history of this country (…). These elections will decide if we save the American dream or if we allow a socialist agenda to demolish our beloved destiny,” Trump said in his speech to the Republican National Convention from the White House, in which he accepted the party’s candidacy for a second term.
