With a strategy of “cutting” and “moving”, the drivers affiliated with the Union Tranviarios Automotor (UTA) of Córdoba went out on Monday to protest to demand the payment of the salary debt that the urban transport companies maintain with the drivers of Ersa , Aucor, Coniferal and Tamse.
From 10 o’clock, they cut several accesses to the Center, such as the Centenario bridge, the 24 de Septiembre bridge, Sarmiento and Alvear.
The most tense moment occurred in the Centennial. There, the cut began as a half-carriageway, by a police fence. But after 11, the drivers advanced and cut the entire street.
The Police, then, intervened with a hydrant truck and, with blows of water jets, cleared the street.
Minutes later, the protesters marched again and cut off General Paz Avenue (and Humberto Primo).

After the incidents, the protesters continued towards the intersection with Colón.
The idea, explained the unionists, is to prevent the police from repressing them and that is why, after the cuts, they mobilize to avoid the actions of the security forces.
“When the police appear, we move and cut elsewhere,” said one protester.
Prosecutor Raúl Garzón will act ex officio to control the protest.
After noon, protesters continued to march through the center. Behind, six patrolmen and the hydrant truck followed the drivers for several blocks. They were joined by some taxi drivers who supported the claim.

In Plaza de las Américas, Adrián Campos, of the executive board of UTA, confirmed that they will not give anything in the wages of the drivers.
“We continue with the fight until the government understands that it is a legitimate claim of the workers. They are acquired rights,” Campos said.
According to union sources, the protests “will be atomized” and “there will be several cuts” throughout the city.
The purpose of the union is to comply with the threat to “besiege the city” launched on Friday in the heat of an assembly parallel to the sanction of the ordinance that gave rise to the transport emergency in the Deliberative Council and which is rejected by the drivers.

While UTA protests, the Municipality takes the last steps to implement the emergency scheme that it managed to approve with the official votes last week in the Deliberative Council.
Although it was announced on Sunday that the Tamse would put about 35 units on the street this Monday from early morning, the idea should perhaps wait until tomorrow, Tuesday.
In this context, the UTA issued a reckless warning last week and threatened to “besiege the city” on Monday.
This weekend, the Municipality designed a “contingency plan” that, when it is launched (probably from Tuesday) would work from 5 to 24 with the 247 conductors of the municipal company, state society, and that will cover lines A , B and C of Tamse with extensions to Villa El Libertador, Argüello and Ituzaingó respectively.
The promise for these workers to fold was that Tamse will pay the June wage debt, the May and June vouchers and advances to future increase accounts on Monday at noon; blackberries that reach between 50 and 65 thousand pesos per driver, according to municipal sources.
The instrument to achieve this commitment was an agreement signed on Sunday between Tamse and the Association of Hierarchical Personnel of Automotive Passenger Transport (Apejetap), under which the inspectors and drivers also accept the payment of the Christmas bonus in installments. .
That agreement must be approved on Monday by the Ministry of Mobility, which will delay the implementation of the emergency scheme. In addition, also today, the Executive must promulgate the emergency ordinance approved on Friday in the Council, for its immediate promulgation and subsequent publication, which would effectively enter into force.
