A stormy romance with Krzysztof Zaleski
When they met, they immediately felt a mutual fascination. They were not bothered by the 17-year age difference or the fact that the director’s wife, actress Maria Pakulnis was waiting for the director at home. A few years earlier, Zaleski left his first wife and a few-year-old daughter for Pakulnis.
– I remember the day we met for the first time. I was going to meet not only with him, but also with other people with whom I was supposed to start working in the theater. During that evening some magic really happened between me and Krzysztof. We were so immersed in the conversation that everything around us ceased to exist – Pakulnis recalled years later.
