Wins the first podium in F1 this season, Sergio Perez is saved by Verstappen

Team racer Red Bull Racing, sergio perez, managed to reach the podium during the Australian F1 race. The Mexican driver was saved by Max Verstappen.

While racing at the Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne, Sunday (10/4/2022), Sergio Perez won second place. Ferrari’s Charels Lecrec, who finished first after devouring 58 laps with a time of one hour 27 minutes 46.548 seconds. Perez was 20.524 seconds away.

Sergio Perez is up one place from his starting position in this race. He was able to finish second because his teammate, Verstappen failed to finish. This is Perez’s first podium of the season, before he finished 18th in Bahrain’s F1 and fourth in Saudi Arabia’s F1 race.

“This race was a bit difficult. We were a little unlucky to lose position with the exit of the safety car, which we were able to catch again. This race was a good result, but unfortunately we lost Max – it would be great to get a double podium.
